ACS workers are notoriously overworked, underpaid, and poorly trained. They are often arrogant, impolite and violate the basic rights of parents. The first thing that you must do is always be polite and respectful. Never yell or scream because this allows the ACS worker to claim that you are violent or hostile. If you can, record the coversation as soon as they start speaking. Tell them that you will be recording it. I assure you it will be a short conversation. Recording ACS allows you to have a clear record of the conversation that ACS cannot change.
If ACS threatens you with court action, you must not let this rattle you. This is common behavior by them. The goal of the ACS worker is to force you into a program in order to show their supervisors that they are doing their jobs. Ask the worker exactly what the allegations are agains you. Make sure to obtain all of their contact information and remember who you spoke to. Lastly, do NOT speak to them about the facts of the case. They will manafacture lies in order to make their jobs easier.
